...That fleeting moment, that sudden mood, that magical light—once captured in a painting, it stays with us forever.
As both an artist and architect, I am continually inspired by light, color, rhythm, and texture. Working primarily from observation, I paint subjects ranging from landscapes to still life to portraits. I embrace the spontaneity of watercolor, letting brushstrokes and textures shape different moods and atmospheres.
I find joy in plein air painting, where shifting light challenges me and the camaraderie of fellow artists inspires me. The urgency to capture a scene before it slips away brings vitality and freshness to my work.
My paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows at venues including Strathmore Mansion (Bethesda), Glenview Mansion (Rockville), BlackRock Center for the Arts (Germantown), Kentlands Arts Barn (Gaithersburg), and the Yellow Barn Studio (Glen Echo). They are represented in private collections across the United States and Europe.
My work has earned numerous awards and recognition, including publication in Splash 18: The Best of Watercolor and Strokes of Genius 6: The Best of Drawing. My watercolor K-Town Bikes and pen-and-ink drawing Tallinn are featured in those volumes.
I am a Signature Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, an Active Member of Potomac Valley Watercolorists, and a member of the Montgomery Art Association.
